Anyone taking it will feel more alert. Psychiatrists do prescribe it but usually only after someone has taken a test like the TOVA that is clinically proven to show ADHD ( cant cheat on that one). For whatever reason people with true add or adhd find that they feel normal on it. Straterra works on a different neurotransmitter (non-addicting) and I have seen it work fabulously with several people who were worried about taking an addicting drug. My friend told me that she no longer obsesses about everything and can focus at work and has stopped trying to do 7 things at once.
